BCS 867T was new to Western SMT at its Inchinnan garage. In June 1985, Western’s Renfrewshire and Inverclyde operations passed to a new company Clydeside Scottish Omnibuses which introduced a new red and yellow livery which the bus carries today.
The Clydeside Scottish fleet was absorbed back into Western in 1989 in preparation for the privatisation of the Scottish Bus Group. However in 1991 the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde business was again hived off and sold to Clydeside 2000, a company owned at first by the employees and supported by British Bus which eventually became Arriva. BCS 867T was by then based at Thornliebank. It left in 1993 for a spell with Derby, another British Bus company. It then operated for independent companies in North Wales and then Leicestershire before being obtained for preservation in 2010. It moved in to Bridgeton Garage in 2012.
