Citylink T types

Member Martin Hughes has posted a request for information regarding the DSD-V Seddon T Types that were converted for Citylink use:

When Western refurbed DSD933/38/39V for Citylink use, what internal changes were made?

Was it just the new Citylink reclining seats? Or did the walls, ceiling and luggage racks get “Citylinked”?

Also when reseating from 49 to 45, did the air vents get re-spaced?

As always if any members can help out just ensure you are signed in and add your comments below.

Extract taken from the Western Enthusiasts Club newsletter “Western News” (Issue No 24 – November / December 1983):

Seddons SS933 (DSD933V), MS938 (DSD938V) and MS939 (DSD939V) have joined the ‘Citylink’ fleet and have been downseated to C45F with reclining seats finished in the blue/black/mustard ‘tartan’ found on the Duple ‘London’ coaches. All three have also had their front grille arrangement modified to improve cooling and received the latest blue and yellow livery with ‘Scottish Citylink’ fleetnames. Note that S933 did not return to Stranraer once complete, but was immediately reallocated to Thornliebank for use on the X26, Glasgow – Kennacraig, along with the other two coaches. (This service was renumbered the 526 the day after it commenced!!)
